ASSOCIATION  GOALS...

 

      Founded in 1975, the Yuba-Sutter Builders and Developers Association is focused on becoming a powerful representative voice of the building and development industry.

 

In the coming years the association will make major strides to do the following:

• Increase the presence of the association within the local area as the representative voice   for the building and development industry.
   

• Increase communication with the media in order to bring industry related concerns to the attention of the local newspaper, television, and radio outlets as well as the public as a whole.
   

• Inform local municipalities about the new direction of the association. Build relationships and keep informed of changes relating to the association membership. Active participation and conversation with planning commissions, city councils, and county boards to insure that issues relating to members of the association are addressed.
   

• Encourage businesses and developers to utilize local contractors, sub-contractors, construction companies to perform their projects.
   

• Increase interaction of the association and its members with the local city council members, county board members, planning commission members, and city/county departmental staff that relates to the industry.
   

• Increase association membership so all local companies and individuals related to the industry have a voice in regard to the future of the Yuba-Sutter area.

 A NEW DIRECTION...

 

      The Yuba-Sutter Builders and Developers association is taking a proactive direction. We plan to be there on the behalf of our members to insure that their interests are represented, defended, and promoted within the local community. This direction is important for the future of our community and industry, especially as competition from outside sources increases.

• Monthly meeting (second Thursday) that includes lunch paid for by your membership fee. Expert speakers focus on the important topics for those in the industry.
   

•  An active organization that keeps up with current political and governmental changes and ordinances that may affect the building industry.
   

•  Your voice - Be a part of an organization that speaks with a collective voice and represents your interests locally. Help to decide the direction of the association and promote the value of the industry within the Yuba-Sutter area.
